1 Log In to AWS
- Go to aws.amazon.com/console
- Click (top right)
- Select IAM user
- Enter your Account ID, Username, and Password (these were provided to you)
- Click
Your login details should include:
Account ID (12-digit number)
IAM Username
Password
2 Find Your Website's Storage
- Once logged in, look for the search bar at the top of the page
- Type S3 and click on S3 in the results
- You'll see a list of "buckets" (storage folders). Find the one with your website's name
- Click on your bucket name to open it
Your bucket name is usually your website address:
yourwebsite.com3 Upload Photos
To add photos to your slideshow:
- Inside your bucket, click on the photos folder to open it
- Click the orange button
- Click and select photos from your computer
Or simply drag and drop photos into the upload area - Scroll down and click the orange button at the bottom
- Wait for the upload to complete, then click
- Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP
- Landscape (horizontal) photos work best
- Photos display in alphabetical order by filename
4 Delete Photos
- Navigate to the photos folder in your bucket
- Check the box next to the photo(s) you want to remove
- Click the button that appears
- Type permanently delete to confirm
- Click the orange button
5 Upload Other Files
You can add any files to your website (PDFs, documents, additional web pages):
- Go to the main level of your bucket (not inside the photos folder)
- Click
- Add your files and click
Your files will be available at:
https://yourwebsite.com/filename.pdfTroubleshooting
Changes not appearing?
Your website uses caching to load faster. Changes may take 5-10 minutes to appear. Try refreshing your browser or waiting a bit longer.
Can't find your bucket?
Make sure you're logged into the correct AWS account. The Account ID should match what was provided to you.
"Access Denied" errors?
You can only access your own website's bucket. If you see other buckets listed, make sure you're clicking on the correct one.
Photos not showing in slideshow?
- Make sure photos are inside the photos folder
- Check that file names end in .jpg, .png, .gif, or .webp
- Wait a few minutes and refresh your website
